The original was on our Outsiders concept record (“We Can Take Care Of Ourselves”) and hits at the loneliness and abandonment faced by several of the characters, maybe Johnny in particular. It’s more a book about the relentless need for love and a sense of belonging than it is about brawls or even “coming of age.” Our friend DJ/producer Ari Why remixed it for us for a promo release and injected it with a whole new groove and feel that was hidden there all along. Dude’s got ears.
